Program short description:
The New School of Psychology at the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) Herzliya was founded in a spirit of innovativeness and excellence which will create, disseminate & practice the knowledge of Psychology.
The academic program reflects the central role psychology plays both in society and in the individual's well being as well as the potential it has to create a healthier, more developed and more creative world.
Unlike traditional psychology studies in Israel, which emphasizes the inner world of the individual, the New School of Psychology also focuses on the interpersonal, social & organizational aspects. Some of the best lecturers from Israel and around the world have been recruited on to teach the B.A. program, which will include all the mandatory classes as is customary in all Universities in Israel.
Studies and research will go hand in hand with interdisciplinary studies from other IDC Herzliya schools. Students will study aspects of communications (including internet studies), business management, marketing, law, government etc. This will allow students to build their own multi-dimensional picture of the different aspects of the field of psychology in all its forms.
The New School of Psychology will give students the methodology, research background and experience needed to continue to a Masters program in Israel or in a top school abroad.
The development of each student is paramount at IDC Herzliya. We want each and every one to develop and grow, both personally and professionally. To achieve this goal, members of the program will advise and guide the students on a regular basis. We believe it's our responsibility to give them the tools and the right opportunities to achieve self-fulfillment in their chosen fields.
