The Maof program is designed for immigrant students from France and other French-speaking countries who have completed at least a first academic degree (Licence or Bac. + 3) and are interested in further study in Israel. A major objective of the program is for students to learn enough Hebrew and English so that they may continue their studies at the Hebrew University. The program commences with intensive Hebrew language study in the Summer Ulpan. In the autumn semester, students take intensive Hebrew language instruction 7-16 hours per week and English language instruction up to 8 hours per week. In the spring semester, students construct an individualized program with their advisor, including Hebrew and English language study. Students are encouraged to take additional courses at the Rothberg International School and to participate in supervised tutorials and internships in their areas of specialization. |
